The Master Brush is a contest prize in Princess Maker 2. It is worth 2100 G. It increases Art skill by 50 points.

Olive receives the brush if she wins first place in the Art Exhibition of the Harvest Festival.

On one hand, the master brush is handy because it effectively boosts Social Reputation by 50 points, and Social Reputation is harder to raise than the others. On the other, the Art raise makes it more likely to get an Artistic ending. There are ways and means around this, but they have their own downsides.
Since the master brushes are an item and not a permanent skill boost, they can be utilized when convenient, and sold off later. They greatly help with Olive's efficiency at the masonry and salon jobs, for instance. They can also guarantee a win in the Dance Party even without high Charisma.

- If you are low on money you can sell it for half the price it is worth - but be warned, your Art Skill and Social Reputation will decrease by 50 points.
